Like the title of ’20 Jazz Funk Greats’, ‘Throbbing Gristle‘s Greatest Hits’ is named with tongue poked firmly in cheek. They of course had no ‘hits’ as such but they did basically invent industrial music. Mostly terrifying, they weren’t averse to the odd stab at disco on tracks like ‘Hot on the Heels of Love’.
