SUDS (WILTED WOMAN & CHRISTOPH DE BABALON)

A union of Wilted Woman and Christoph De Babalon was always likely to produce some visceral club fair. While both artists may be prolific in their own right, this new collaborative EP has us hoping that they might find more time to work together in future. As SUDS - that stands, as you might have gathered from this record’s titled, for Sick Universe Demands Sharing - the duo take the spirit and sonics of 90s IDM while also so freaking those sounds to their own ends. What they end up with is a quartet of aquatic leftfield techno tools whose reverb-heavy drum programming often breaks to reveal some rather beautiful keyboard work.
